We are at a critical crossroads in this country in our energy policy, and if we decide to do nothing, which I sense is what the Republicans want is to do nothing, it is going to lead to more carbon pollution, more droughts and floods, and other extreme weather events, more billion-dollar disasters and relief bills to pay for them by the taxpayers.
