People should not look for reasons to be against this amendment, they should look for reasons to be for it. It is in our natural interest. It is a win for our environment. It is a win for energy independence. It is a win for our national security. L.A. County is a municipal system. They are reducing 20 percent and diverting it to renewables. Let's recognize when we have more renewable energy, it provides jobs, it provides a better future and a better chance to accomplish what we need to do in this Nation. I congratulate Mr. Platts and Mr. Tom Udall, and urge my colleagues to vote for the amendment.
