I do not believe that H.R. 1927 is the appropriate solution to the drought crisis that has imperiled the communities and livelihoods of my great state.
I would like to commend you for your vigilance on ensuring the districts allocate resources more fairly and improve student access to effective teachers.
However, when a charter school falls short of that promise, we owe it to the students, the families, and the teachers to hold the school responsible for improvement and close that school, if necessary, if they can't meet those goals.
I have never been more disappointed by this committee's repeated failure to address America's critical economic concerns.
