The nostalgic days when student athletes really were, 'students,' first... those days are pretty much over in high-level athletic programs.

We in the federal government should be helping students and schools make these leaps, not cutting them off at the knees.

It is time for Congress to get back into the business of partnering with states and districts in support of schools.
