To call what happened at Sandy Hook a tragedy is to not do it justice. It is beyond tragedy.

The horrific event in Newtown, Connecticut shook our nation's conscience and continues to do so today.

Sandy Hook is an event that calls on us as policymakers to do something--not just to prevent the next mass murder.

A school must be a place where children feel secure so that they can focus on learning, growing, and being kids.
