Sometimes we need to look to the past in order to understand our proper relationship with Indian tribes.

The nature of Self-Governance is rooted in the inherent sovereignty of American Indian and Alaska Native tribes.

It is ironic to me that I hear people talk about you cannot pass legislation because we need to respect state water rights.

This bill will do much more harm than good and we cannot afford to cause any further damage to an ecosystem that is oversubscribed and in jeopardy.
