We should work with Secretary Perez in the final months of the Congress to pass legislation that will increase the minimum wage.

We in the federal government should be helping students and schools make these leaps, not cutting them off at the knees.

It's time for Congress to get back into the business of partnering with states and districts to support our schools.

I strongly urge the Obama board to change course and encourage key stakeholders to get to work.
