Gavin Newsom: “Thank you California.”

We have to be sober about this moment. The old rules no longer apply. The new rules are being written, and I don’t want them written by the other side.

California has chosen a different path – one that rewards work, grows the economy and puts working families first. We believe if you work hard, you deserve a decent paycheck. They think $7.25 an hour is enough. We don’t.

I call this a recycled political stunt.

California will continue to fight back against attempts to interfere with our sovereign authority.
