Gavin Newsom: “We recognize we have agency. We’re not bystanders of the world. We can shape the future.”

Let’s be clear: The President is advocating for an attack on 10+ million U.S. residents in two of America’s largest cities. This is not normal. None of this is.

Gavin Newsom, the state’s governor, called the remarks “dangerous – if not treasonous – putting a target on two of our biggest cities and one of America’s largest naval hubs.”

We may not be able to dictate federal immigration policy, but we can make clear that activities taking place in California will be subject to California law.

We’re also banning the Orwellian practice of using shock gloves in enforcement activity as well as further protecting access to our court system.
