Gavin Newsom: “We are grateful to law enforcement for their swift actions to secure the scene and take the suspect into custody.”

“completely unacceptable and inappropriate.”

We all agree that Californians deserve to have their retirement and life savings protected from new state taxes so those savings are there when they need them.

If the feds were serious about this, they would have done this long ago — not in the middle of people voting, which inherently and needlessly sows distrust and doubt in our democracy.

The last thing survivors need is unnecessary red tape, delays, and barriers standing between them and the relief they deserve.
