I thank Chairman Lincoln and Chairman Dodd for maintaining section 745 in the conference report accompanying the Dodd- Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, which gives authority to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to prevent the trading of futures and swaps contracts that are contrary to the public interest.
