The Clerk read as follows: At the end of the bill (before the short title), insert the following: Sec. ___. The amount made available by this Act for ``Department of Justice--Community Oriented Policing Services Programs'' (and the amount specified under such heading for grants under section 1701 of title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (42 U.S.C. 3796dd) for the hiring and rehiring of additional career law enforcement officers under part Q of such title) is hereby increased by, and the aggregate total of other amounts made available by this Act that are not required to be made available by a provision of law are hereby reduced by, $177,087,000.
