“Losing Abigail was the hardest thing that has ever happened to us in our lives, but I am grateful that Bill and I were able to make this difficult decision ourselves and that we were given all of our medical options. There will be families in the future faced with this tragedy. Please allow us to have access to the medical procedures we need. Do not complicate the tragedies we already face. Coreen Costello writes movingly. All of these are so moving that I would say if every American could read these, they would know that what we are about to do is wrong because it makes no health exception. She says: Losing our daughter was the hardest thing we have experienced. It has been difficult [to talk about our loss]. And it's ironic that I, with my profound pro-life views, would be defending an abortion procedure. God knows I pray for the day when no other woman needs this procedure. But until [then] . . . women must have access to this important medical option.
