I thank my friend. Is the Senator aware that Judge Paez has been endorsed by the National Association of Police Organizations, Executive Director Robert Skully, the Los Angeles Police Protective League Board president, the Los Angeles County Police Chief Association, the Los Angeles Association of Deputy Sheriffs, the commissioner of the California Department of Highway Patrol, and a whole host of Republicans and Democrats alike in law enforcement and on the bench? I am surprised that my friend would make the statement that the judge is hostile to law enforcement when, in fact, he has tremendous support from law enforcement.
