Mr. President, I support the recent actions by both the Senate and House of Representatives to suspend the 2011 cost of living adjustment for Members of Congress. Although there has been encouraging news on some sectors of our economy, too many Californians are unemployed or underemployed. It is fitting that we forgo a cost of living adjustment at this time. ____________________
