That is 94 percent of public drinking water systems that rely on these headwater streams. It affects 1 in 3 Americans in 48 States. We are talking about a bill that is called the Federal Water Quality Protection Act, but it is about pollution, not protection. In a way, when we name these bills the opposite of what they are--remember, this is called the Federal Water Quality Protection Act when in fact it is going to lead to contamination of waterways.…”
