I send my deepest condolences to the family of Christopher Reeve, one of the bravest Americans, who fought so hard to prove that even with the most horrific injuries, one could still be involved in community life, and who dedicated himself to raising awareness for stem-cell research, for the hope and the dream of so many of our people who suffer every day, that they may have a cure in their lifetime. Christopher Reeve was Superman in the movies, but that was make-believe. He was Superman in real life. My heart goes out to everyone who knew him and to the disabled community who counted on him. It is such a tragedy to lose him.
