I thank Senator Whitehouse. As chair of the conference committee for WRRDA, a committee on which the Senator from Rhode Island and Senator Vitter also served, I agree with the Senator's understanding of section 4014. Like Rhode Island, California also has strong leadership on coastal and oceans issues and will benefit from increased collaboration with the Corps of Engineers on coastal and ocean resiliency issues.
