“I would like to respond to my colleague. Of course, this was a great pleasure to work with her on this bill. We will not rest until it becomes law. It has a lot of hurdles yet ahead. But I think we told the people of California very clearly that it would make a difference when the California Senators can work as a team, and I think nowhere could we show this more than on this bill. We also showed it on the earthquake bill, and we will have other opportunities to show it as well. But I say to my colleague, it has been an honor and a privilege and we will certainly celebrate when this bill becomes law.”
