As Congresswoman Eshoo pointed out, in 2012, both Houses of Congress unanimously passed resolutions stating that it was the consistent and unequivocal policy of the United States to promote a global Internet free from government control, and preserve and advance the successful multi-stakeholder model that governs the Internet today.
Eshoo highlighted Congress's commitment to a free and multi-stakeholder Internet governance model.
