“I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: Page 54, add after line 2 the following: SECTION 11. REVIEW OF WHISTLEBLOWER COMPLAINTS. (a) In General.--Chapter 7 of title 38, United States Code, is amended by inserting after section 711 the following new section: ``Sec. 712. Review of whistleblower complaints ``(a) In General.--During each calendar quarter, the Secretary shall review each covered whistleblower complaint that is filed during the previous calendar quarter. ``(b) Delegation.--The Secretary may only delegate the authority of the Secretary under subsection (a) to review a covered whistleblower complaint, without further delegation, to-- ``(1) the Deputy Secretary of Veterans Affairs; ``(2) the Under Secretary for Health; ``(3) the Under Secretary for Benefits; ``(4) the Under Secretary for Memorial Affairs; ``(5) an Assistant Secretary of Veterans Affairs; ``(6) a Deputy Assistant Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or ``(7) a director of the Veterans Integrated Service Network.…”
