The Biden administration has set goals for the United States to reduce greenhouse emissions by at least 50 percent by 2030 and reach net-zero emissions no later than 2050.

Congress has worked with the Biden administration to achieve major policy victories and invest in clean energy.

These targets are certainly reasonable, and they are consistent with what the world has agreed to for climate targets.

We must achieve 100 percent carbon-free electricity by 2035, and the entire U.S. economy needs to reach net-zero emissions by midcentury.
