I represent the Port of Long Beach. I am the cochair with Randy Weber from Texas of the Congressional PORTS Caucus.

I would like to emphasize how important a quick resolution of this process and a timely report will be to my constituents.

As such, building even one new oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico will deepen the climate crisis, disproportionately imperiling low-income communities and communities of color in the process.

I, too, wish to send my condolences to the families of those that died in the tragic accident in Santa Barbara.
