Alan Lowenthal: “Also do you believe that human caused emissions from the burning of fossil fuels do contribute to climate change?”

I want to join my colleagues in urging you to consider implementing the GAO recommendation to consider a negotiated rulemaking.

To stave off the worst impacts of climate change, we need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from 2005 levels by at least half by 2030.

It is a good piece of legislation. I am proud to be co-sponsoring it.

We must achieve 100 percent carbon-free electricity by 2035, and the entire U.S. economy needs to reach net-zero emissions by midcentury.
