It is now my pleasure to yield 2 minutes to the gentleman from Washington (Mr. Heck), someone who we have come to rely on in our committee in a great many areas, but, in particular, the threat posed by foreign actors investing in American technologies, with an eye toward either appropriating our intellectual property, or making use of those technologies for the purpose of spying on Americans.

These grants will fund critical projects that help construct and improve bridges, roadways, off-ramps, bikeways, pedestrian crossings and other transportation infrastructure.
If county officials proceed with this misguided plan, we request that you provide the maximum oversight possible to ensure that Ms. Peters does not improperly access ballots, voting systems, or sensitive information.
This should be seen as a partisan measure to insulate the president and his corrupt activities from congressional subpoenas when the majority flips.
