I greatly appreciate this Committee's focus on closing the digital divide, which still impacts far too many Americans in rural America and Indian Country.

The lack of bipartisan solutions to our national infrastructure has cost communities billions of dollars in economic activity and put the lives of children and families across the Nation in danger.

Changing energy economies means that rural communities like those in my district with generating stations have lost and will continue to lose jobs as coal becomes less economically viable.

Our citizens are not expendable. We are all--should be treated equally in healthcare also.
