The lack of bipartisan solutions to our national infrastructure has cost communities billions of dollars in economic activity and put the lives of children and families across the Nation in danger.

I have introduced a bill, the New Promise Act, which would focus attention on the needs of these communities.

As a grandfather myself, it breaks my heart to see kids go hungry. As many as 13 million kids don't know where they are getting their next meal. We have to do better.
