Mr. Chairman, I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR (Mr. Lucas). The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: At the end of the bill, add the following: (d) Consideration.--Any instrument executed pursuant to subsection (a), shall provide that-- (1) in consideration for the land described in subsection (c), Accomack County, Virginia, shall pay the United States the fair market value of the land (on the date of the enactment of this Act) under terms approved by the Secretary of the Interior from revenues generated by the sale, rent, or lease of the land; and (2) the land described in subsection (c) shall be appraised in accordance with nationally recognized appraisal standards (including the Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisitions and the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) by an independent appraiser selected by the Secretary of the Interior and Accomack County, Virginia.
