The President's ability to set aside land for monuments and national parks comes from the outdated Antiquities Act of 1906.

Did they consult with your office about maps, legal descriptions, specific details of the proposal before the designation?

President Obama exceeded the intent of the Antiquities Act more than any other president in the history of this country.

I believe the law should be amended to require local approval before the President can unilaterally designate a National Monument.

I believe, along with many other Maine residents, that former President Obama never should have designated this area as a National Monument.

The former president and the National Park Service did not let these facts get in the way.

The National Park Service seems to blatantly disregard key indicators of this opposition.

The designation of this Monument on a former working forest by former President Obama is very concerning to Maine residents living in the area and around the state.

The Border Wall Cannot Pay for Itself.

My biggest concern about FATCA is that it treats all 9 million Americans living abroad as guilty until proven innocent.

It was a mess. It was a mess.

This committee is better equipped than any other to help the President achieve his agenda with our authority over the power of the purse.

I also want to make sure that we preserve our Nation's airspace as a place of innovation.
