We have unlawful presence in our United States from the visa overstays, and that is what we are focusing on today.

Look, we need to make sure that large-scale events have safety and security, but there are other ways to do that than to be pulling agents, that its core responsibility is the safety of air travel, in order to do that.

We have instances of at least 250 through April that have been reported where TSA agents have been pulled away from their primary mission.

It is unbelievable to me that it would take an act of Congress to actually direct them to provide flexibility.

I felt like I was listening to parallel universes that were in complete contradiction of each other.

What law gives the Secret Service the ability to call in TSA's Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response, or VIPR, teams for additional security presence at events such as campaign rallies, political party conventions, NFL games, NASCAR…

Things like that shouldn't take an act of Congress, as you know.

People are paying the $85 to go through PreCheck. They are giving their biometric information to the Government.

I agree it is important to make sure that people that are attending these large-scale events are safe.

I don't see that anywhere within your core mission and your core responsibilities.

Your first point of focus is a focus on the mission.

I would like to be fully focused on my core mission.

The PreCheck lane needs to be open.

I also want to ask you, General Alles, about--the National Guard has been supplementing with, you know, some of the air assets, but this last year my understanding is that their number of hours or support was cut in half.

General Alles, I want to follow up on my earlier question on getting information to the agents.

Is there any investigation or requirement that you are looking at to procure any, sort-of, mid-level UAVs?

But I think it was in our first hearing I also asked a question about looking at putting VADER on manned aircraft.

We don't want to have lessons identified that are actually lessons learned from past procurement buffoonery.

I think these types of innovative partnerships like that would be really important if you are rolling anything like that forward.

So what is the time line we are looking at for that?

So, fiscal year 2019, if everything is on track, the Arizona Technology Plan will be complete.

100 percent is the goal.
