You can only spend a dollar once, so you want to make sure it is spent the right way.
If we are not going to have serious entitlement reform, where is it going to come from? It is simple math.
We can talk in flowery terms about what we want, what our hearts are willing to do, but what our wallets can't provide.
Now, as I read this, it looks like an open-ended discussion, but with no real specifics.
It comes down to dollars and cents. You can't wave a magic wand and make this money appear.
I would think, though, for us, for both sides, if we would help you, if we would put more teeth into these things, it would help you to win.
Whenever employers and employees put this money into this fund--this isn't government-funded, this is wage-tax funded.
