How is that true? Because under extensive requirements for Federal eavesdropping law, the Justice Department officials have a duty--a duty--to evaluate the law enforcement tactics that have been used in the investigation.

Excessive regulations and red tape increase the cost of doing business and create uncertainty for private sector companies.

So were the funds not necessary--did--are we overly funding these programs? Because it seems like we are actually extending and expanding what they are supposed to be doing by putting this additional money into new programs.

It is amazing to me that this is yet another example where the Attorney General has decided that he is the arbiter of what the law is...
