There should be no doubt about the tremendous need for SNAP and other nutrition programs.

I appreciate my colleague, Mr. Crawford's, comments about how we can work to develop a better system where we don't penalize people.

SNAP is a hand-up, not a hand-out, for Americans striving to achieve self-sufficiency.

It is incumbent upon Congress and the USDA to reverse this trend.
