I have held public hearings in the past, Mr. Speaker, on this issue, but I again want to thank the gentleman from New Jersey (Mr. Smith) for his initiative and his leadership in doing this, not only to sensitize the Members of the Congress about this very serious issue around the world, but the fact that we have now proposed legislation to look into and to fully examine and to provide some sense of sanity to this world and the fact that we have done this so unfairly to these young people around the world.
