I would just make one more plea to the leadership of this House. Back in 1995 and 1996, we had lobbyists in the back rooms here writing legislation. That is absolutely unforgivable. We should not allow this to happen. I hope the American people realize that the leadership in this House today is simply ignoring the great need that we have out there to deal with the prescription drug issue and provide lower-priced prescription drugs and provide a good prescription drug benefit plan for our Medicare recipients.
