Mark Pryor

Mark Pryor is an American politician who served as a United States Senator from Arkansas from 2003 to 2015. A member of the Democratic Party, he focused on issues such as healthcare, education, and infrastructure during his tenure. Pryor was known for his moderate stance and worked across party lines on various legislative initiatives. He was re-elected in 2008 but lost his bid for a third term in 2014, marking the end of his Senate career.
We need to look at what are acceptable collapse rates for new buildings and who determines what that will be.
Is there a projection or a general scientific consensus on when to expect the next one?
Earthquake preparedness is something that is very important and we should make sure that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and others are on top of.
As you work with other countries, do you try to go in before disasters happen and help them prepare? Is that part of your mission?
My sense is, if you are living in California, it is more something you live with every day.
And in your testimony, you gave some dates in which New Madrid quakes have been documented.
Basically, everybody else just said, 'Hey, if P.K. wants it, then he would do a much better job than I could ever do.'
He is just exactly the kind of person I think we would all want on the Federal bench.
