This is about, in my judgment, the preservation of the vitality of democracy.

Whenever somebody tells you, 'This is not a money problem,' you can bet they're talking about somebody else's problem, not theirs.

This action further enhances our efforts to strengthen international cooperation in promoting peaceful democratic change in Cuba.

We should help people who, through no fault of their own, can't get along through life without help.

We showed up for work every day, and we remembered who we were working for.

That's what we try to do with the empowerment zones and the community development banks—just to give people tools to do what they want to do.

It sounds very impressive to say we have the smallest Federal Government since John Kennedy was President.

I hope you'll also be determined to make the most of the days ahead.
