Isn't it ironic that we stand here debating a homeland security bill which has no money for first responders, and the only money that was in there they have now taken out? There is not a single penny that is going to the firefighters, the police officers, the emergency responders on the ground, and we are going to leave with a continuing resolution that also has no additional resources. Since September 11 of last year, with our firefighters and police officers having faced many more challenges, is it not the Senator's understanding they have not received additional resources?
