So 10 years past the separation from service of 9/11, that 1-year period will end on September 30th.
I worry when it was looked at the proposals for Build Back Better and the childcare provisions in there, that it could--that there was a threat, that there could be things that would be inconsistent with faith-based care.
How many veterans were eligible to enroll under the 1-year open enrollment period when the PACT Act was enacted?
What steps is the VA taking to improve this tracking process, that you know of, of veterans that have not enrolled?
childcare is run by the states, not the Federal Government, and that is where it should be.

if my colleagues here get their way, childcare facilities would only be eligible for all this new money, only if they play by Federal rules.
I am concerned that the VA still does not have a mechanism to track the veterans who have enrolled under the authority thus far.
