On rollcall No. 745 I was entering the House Chamber when the vote was closed. Had I been able to cast my vote it would have been a ``yea'' vote.

Mike Dennis Rogers is a former U.S. Representative for Alabama's 3rd congressional district, serving from 2003 to 2015. A member of the Republican Party, Rogers held various influential positions in Congress, including Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. During his tenure, he focused on national security and intelligence issues, advocating for policies to strengthen the military and enhance oversight of intelligence operations.
I believe we can achieve this while effectively securing the traveling public and the flow of commerce.
I'd like to see if we can find creative ways to reduce that cost over time, while still keeping the traveling public secure from acts of terrorism.
I believe that TSA presents ample opportunity for generating any number of private-sector jobs.
I am sure that you all are aware of H.R. 1206, which now has 120 bipartisan cosponsors, 24 members of this committee.
We endorse this as well as do all other national agent professional associations as well as, I said, the NAIC broker taskforce.
My amendment really only focuses with the DOD... we have these very creative, very innovative technology companies...
The fact is, that gentleman right there would object to that, if they wanted to raise that size standard.
I strongly believe in the value of a vigorous small business contracting community and advocate increases in the small business goal from 23 percent to 25 percent.
It is critical that there is a point person, somebody that makes the decision, somebody that is absolutely in charge.
