Do you think you can effectively manage the PTO through this difficult time, reduce the backlog, reduce patent pendency, if you constantly have the threat of fee diversion hanging over your head every year?

Jeff Sessions is an American politician and lawyer who served as the 84th Attorney General of the United States from 2017 to 2018. A member of the Republican Party, he was previously a U.S. Senator from Alabama from 2007 to 2017. Well, I certainly agree with that, but as you having worked with that statute, did you find it helpful in your case to render justice?
I think there is a concern about delays. Some of those delays are probably a lack of resources for you and your team and if the fees had not been diverted, we would not have a shortage of resources.
I expect things should go forward in a timely manner. I don't believe that any of you need to be held up.

What statute is violated? How is there jurisdiction in the United States to try such a case in a civilian court?
I think this idea that somehow the world is condemning our procedures for handling enemy combatants is not legitimate.

I do not think there is any doubt that they could become skittish in the future if they do not know what Congress next will invalidate, the written contract they had when they loaned the money.
I think that is a recognition that there is no free lunch. Somebody will pay for when principal is crammed down.
Look, I can see this is a huge thing for the Government to somehow force a person who has loaned somebody a bunch of money, given it to them, on a promise it will be paid back.
We have a national interest in and the banks have an interest in not having too many houses fall on the market and collapse the price even further.
But I would stress if it is solely a case of where you have a negative equity and, you know, your income stayed the same, your mortgage payment stayed the same, all it is is that the value of your house has declined, there is nothing…
