To all those in the gallery, whose lives have been changed or improved by this Labour government, and all across the country who struggle to be seen or heard, you’re the reason I came into politics.

The UK's support for Ukraine will not waver. I say that with real confidence because it has not wavered since the outbreak of this conflict.

I will go with good grace. I want my country to thrive, and therefore I'll do everything to make sure there's an orderly transition and give my full support to Andy Burnham and the whole of the government.
