He captured them and brought them to various museums of America to serve as exhibits. He helped enact the laws that protect birds. In one of the biographies of Teddy Roosevelt I read, the author pointed out that the single largest spectator sport in the United States is not football, it is not NASCAR, it is bird watching. I am not much of a bird watcher, but these laws are important for that reason as well.…”
