The amendment is as follows: (Purpose: To increase employment for members of the Armed Forces in emerging industries) At the end of title III of division A, add the following: Sec. 3__. (a) The Secretary of Energy, in consultation with the Secretary of Defense, shall evaluate the military installations at which it would be cost-effective to establish a partnership with community colleges, institutions of higher education, and the private sector to train veterans and members of the Armed Forces transitioning to civilian life to enter the cybersecurity, energy, and artificial intelligence workforces. (b) Not later than 120 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Energy, in consultation with the Secretary of Defense, shall submit to the congressional defense and energy committees and make publicly available a report describing the results of the evaluation conducted under subsection (a).
