In Tennessee, the independent colleges and universities have pointed out to me that the new overtime rule proposed by the Department of Labor would add as much as $850 per student to the cost of tuition at all of the independent colleges in Tennessee, which is an outrageous thing to be doing. Here is an example of real leadership, real action, and real results by the Senator from North Carolina, the Senator from Maine, and the Senator from West Virginia, who by their action in 2013, working with the President, have reduced the cost of going to college for 6.4 million American students.
