I'm proud to have turned the Labour Party around, to have won a general election, and to put the party on a good footing.

The British people understand what is being fought for here - freedom and democracy, values that we will never take for granted.

I go with good grace, I go with a smile, and I go proud of everything we have achieved.

Since then, it has been the privilege of my life to serve you and this great country as Prime Minister, and I am confident that Britain is now stronger and fairer than it was two years ago.
