People recognise these times that are tough for everyone, and what they do expect of a government is to manage with the budgets we've got, deliver the public services they need, and that's the challenge.

My observation on the banks is that people too often see them as big, distant financial institutions, when they are hardwired into the economic fabric of this country and our future prospects.

The step back from this is that the future of Ukraine is the future of European security, and that’s why it’s so crucial that Putin doesn’t prevail.
