The reopening of the King’s Theatre is fantastic news for Edinburgh and for everyone who loves this iconic venue.

Any decision about the use of the Parliament Acts would only arise in specific procedural circumstances and would ultimately be a matter for the government and for parliament as a whole.

The government have been very cognisant of the fact that communities who haven't wanted the infrastructure are therefore not part of the project.

We fully acknowledge concerns, and that's why we've got these big projects in place to try and resolve them.
