there are only 2 ways to bring down the price of $3.50 gasoline and to keep electricity from going up. One is to reduce demand and one is to increase supply. The Senator from Florida and I agree on our amendments on several provisions, but he would take out the parts that will increase the supply of natural gas and increase the supply of oil, which will tend to reduce the price of gasoline and reduce the price of natural gas and make us less dependent on people in other countries who are trying to kill us. I urge a ``no'' vote if you want lower energy prices.
