We ought not subsidize the destruction of our national treasures, such as the Grand Canyon, the Great Smokies, and we ought to tell people first. This bill doesn't prohibit the building of any wind project, affect anything already going on, or give FERC any new authority. The reason Senators Alexander, Warner, Landrieu, McCain, Allen, Voinovich, Brownback, Burr, and Bunning all support it is because it says and the National Parks Conservation Association says no subsidies to destroy our views of our national treasures and more local controls.
